Martin Daske, experimental composer in a pork pie hat, sound designer and decorated author of manyfold radio artwork creates a refined and subtle sound that fluctuates from sombre presentiment to resigned acceptance and back again. Realistically grim with an existential wink now and then. A keen clarinet and a winding down cello sweeten the sadness. All tracks remain sparsely arranged and are all the more powerful for it.
